Online Craps generally comes in only one variation. At most online casinos, online craps is usually found under "Table Games," "Specialty Games" or "Other Games." If you enjoy craps, you need to be aware that not all sites offer it.
The playing table has 23 different wagering spots where you can place your chips by clicking directly on the spot. Chip denominations offered by online casinos usually range from $1-$500 while the in between denominations tends to vary slightly from one casino to the next. Betting limits are determined by table rules.
The odds for online casinos are exactly the same as those offered at land-based casinos. In order to avoid confusion, some online tables will list odds as "15 for 1" (a total return of $15 for every $1 bet) while others will list "15 to 1" ($15 + $1 is returned for every $1 bet).

Playing the Game
The game starts with the player placing any type of wager(s). After initial bets are made, the player clicks "roll." After the come out roll, additional wagers can be made after each roll of the dice. Any winning bets are immediately paid, any losing bets are immediately captured. The rolling continues until the player "craps out" (rolls a 7 except on the come out roll). After crapping out, the table is cleared of all bets, new bets are placed and the process starts all over again.
NOTE: There are two ways that casinos treat winning multi-roll bets such as Place Bets and Hard Way Bets. Some casinos return just the winnings, leaving the original bet on the table. Other casinos payback both the winnings and the original bet. The player needs to check the rules and be prepared to act accordingly.
When playing craps online, the action is fast and furious as compared to the pace of a typical land-based game. As a player, you need to take your time and make sure you are placing bets where you want them.
If you can find an online casino that offers free craps, it would be a good idea to jump in and play for awhile. It would be a great way to learn how and where to place bets and to get some experience with the pace of the game.
Unlike land-based games, very seldom will you see a roll that extends over more than 10-15 minutes. That is not to imply there are issues with the random number generator, but the pace of the game makes things go a lot faster.
You won't see many promotions centered around the game of craps. For most online casinos, they would prefer players focus on video slots and stay away from table games that give players more favorable odds. This fact is supported by the number of loyalty points that are offered while playing this particular game.
