European Roulette is Playtech’s take on a classic casino table game. This roulette experience is European in that it uses the traditional French roulette wheel, which has just one zero and 37 chambers overall as opposed to the double zeros and 38 chambers that the American wheel employs.
European Roulette by Playtech has a 2.7-percent house edge. The odds of winning any particular bet are labeled directly on the roulette table. There is also an on-screen cue that lets the player call up odds and payout information in greater detail and a more reader-friendly format. Unlike roulette in a brick-and-mortar casino, this game is played alone and with a virtual croupier. The virtual croupier requires a minimum overall bet of $1, and there are both maximums per bet and an overall table maximum. These values vary from one online casino to another, but the table limit is usually around $300 per spin.
Playtech’s European Roulette adheres to the traditional roulette rules, so there are no surprises in that regard. It does have a neat feature, however, in that it tracks the wheel history and the player’s bet history. The game shows the recent history on screen, and the player can click on that to receive a more in-depth report that covers the entire session, which is particularly useful for players who are employing a bankroll management strategy.
Graphics & Audio
All online roulette games face the challenge of having to cram a lot of information into a relatively small area. Playtech has tackled that challenge reasonably well, and allowing the player to call up that same information in a different format is a big help as well. The graphics are solid, and the sound effects are useful and authentic. There is a zoom window for the wheel, but it is limited to a slice of the wheel, and we would rather have the camera zoom in on the entire wheel.
The most lucrative bet on the board is choosing a straight number, which pays out 35:1. The per-bet limit on straight bets is usually $40, which would make the top payout $1,400.
European Roulette by Playtech is an effective online roulette experience, and there are a couple of reasons why we would choose this roulette game over another [click here to try more free table games]. Firstly, we like the history feature, and secondly, we like the autoplay feature, which has an advanced mode that lets the player precisely dial in when the game relinquishes control.Click and Get a Free Bonus to Play at European Roulette
